Sarah Tranquilli-Doherty

Sarah (she/her) completed her medical training at the University of Ottawa in the volet francophone.  She completed the St Paul’s Family Practice Residency program, and has been working in Vancouver since 2017.  She is an associate clinical professor with UBC and teaches both medical students and residents.  As a bilingual physician, she is happy to provide primary and maternity care in both of Canada’s official languages.  She believes pregnancy and birth are a natural part of life, and it is our great privilege as your physicians to help guide families through this exciting time.

When she isn’t working at 8^th Avenue, you can find her on the Urban Health Infection Unit at St Paul’s hospital caring for marginalized patients requiring acute care admissions, at the Vancouver Aboriginal Health Society Medical Clinic on Vancouver’s downtown east side or teaching medical students at Vancouver General Hospital.

Outside of work, you can find Sarah biking, hiking, playing in her garden or trying new recipes!
