Nardia Strydom

Nardia has been a Family Physician in Canada for almost 25 years and loves her job! Every day is a different adventure, she loves the variety of her work and that something exciting happens every day. She trained in South Africa and worked there for a few years before moving to Canada. Until 2014 she was a member of the Family Practice Maternity Group at BCWH and was inspired by the wonder and power of birth. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor at UBC and enjoys teaching and learning.  As a leader, Nardia is as stimulated by the opportunities around her. She is the Department Head of Family & Community Medicine at Providence Health Care and a Board member of the Vancouver Division of Family Physicians.

Her family, friends, exercise, gardening, cooking and eating keep her life healthy and balanced.
