Bio
Dr Balaisis grew up in Toronto and studied medicine in Ottawa. She came to Vancouver in 2008 for her residency training in family medicine at UBC and has been working in BC ever since. She has a full-service family practice and enjoys the diversity of working with children, adults and the elderly, in addition to providing maternity care for expectant parents. She also works in the downtown eastside providing general and specialized addiction care.
She enjoys balancing her work by getting away to the mountains and hiking or snowboarding. You may also find her curling, dancing or enjoying eating good food anywhere she goes.
