Heather McEwen grew up in Saskatchewan and finished her undergraduate in biochemistry and medical school from the University of Saskatchewan. She completed her family practice residency at St. Paul’s Hospital in 2014 in Vancouver.
She enjoys the variety of family medicine with special interests in maternity care and sexual health. She currently sits on the boards of Options for Sexual Health and the maternity committee of the Vancouver Division of Family Practice. She also provides primary care and addictions with outreach in the Downtown Eastside. Her new endeavors include teaching and research as a UBC Clinical Instructor at Three Bridges Community Health Centre with CHIUS, an interprofessional student clinic. She spends far too much of her time scheming outdoor holidays for hiking, mountain biking, and kayaking.
Dr MacEwen will be sharing a practice with Dr Strydom.
