YOUR HEALTHCARE AT 888docs DURING COVID-19
There are two important messages we would like to share during this difficult time.
- OUR CLINIC IS OPEN AND WILL CONTINUE TO CARE FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES DURING THIS TIME
- NOTHING IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE SAFETY OF ALL OUR PATIENTS
As a result, we are making immediate changes to how patients are seen at 8th Ave Family and Maternity Care (888docs). These changes are to reduce risk of COVID-19 transmission at the clinic and to ensure that everyone gets the right care in the right place and in a timely way.
- DURING THE WEEK OF 24 MARCH WE WILL BE CONVERTING ALL APPOINTMENTS TO TELEPHONE OR VIDEO VISITS.
- OUR TEAM OF DOCTORS & ASSISTANTS WILL BOOK IN PERSON VISITS FOR THOSE WHO STILL NEED THEM.
If you already have a booked appointment, please assume that it will be converted to a telephone visit as of 30 March 2020. We will contact you if you still need to be seen in the clinic. We will be able to do a video visit if that is needed.
Pregnant patients and new baby visits will continue to be in person visits at the clinic. Please do not come if you have cold or flu symptoms. Call the clinic first.
We know how confusing all the information is, for everyone. We are happy to answer your questions and screen you for Covid illness. Book your TELEPHONE appointment. The most important thing is for everyone to STAY HOME.
Medical information is also available at 811, and 1-888-COVID19 for non medical information
Only telephone/video visits and prenatal appointments will be available for online booking.
For any other visit, please call our office and we will figure out what appointment you need.
Although you are booking time for your telephone visit, please stay close to your phone for about an hour before and after. Please ANSWER your phone, even if it from a blocked number.
We will be able to do a video visit or book an in person clinic visit if it is necessary.
PLEASE LET US KNOW THE PREFERRED PHONE NUMBER FOR REACHING YOU. PLEASE TYPE THIS NUMBER INTO YOUR APPOINTMENT REQUEST WHEN BOOKING ONLINE.
We will be sending out a separate email to our pregnant patients. Please continue to come to your appointments in the clinic. Do not come into the clinic if you have flu or cold symptoms. Call ys first please.
